Kristen and Alex say "I Do" 6.19.2010

This past Saturday, I ventured north to Fremont. The St. Patrick's Church is such a beautiful place for weddings! I've met with Kristen a few times as we've planned the big day! She and Alex live in Arizona, so planning a wedding half way across the country can be quite a task!! Here is a glimpse of their day!

The weather on Saturday was.... perfect!!

I always love photographing the "getting ready" part of the day. You can feel the flutter of butterflies and excitement with everyone! Kristen and Alex decided not to see each other until the ceremony.

Once in awhile a Bride or Groom will send a note or gift to the other just before the ceremony. I must admit, this is the first time the letter came on a laptop, complete with music for a finishing touch!

Kristen's Mom and sister help her get into the gown.

Exchanging of the wedding rings

After the ceremony, we headed to Elkorn to finish celebrating at Indian Creek Golf club. But first, a few fun pictures!

Kristen is so gorgeous...and she has a smile that is completely contagious! (look at how Alex looks at her... so cute!)
The cake was simple and elegant, and I shouldn't forget to mention... just walking by the cake table you could smell the richness in it... my mouth was watering before they even cut into it.

This image has more of a story to it... Sometimes couples create a video slideshow with a variety of pictures from their childhood, growing up, and of course the couple together. Its always fun to see the bridal party react with laughter, ohhhs,... and awwwwws.... but next time you are at a wedding, take a look at the parents. Kristen's mom had tears in her eyes. She gave a gentle nudge to Kristen's dad... maybe for comfort, or joy, or perhaps the feeling of accomplishment. I can only image what it will be like someday to give away a daughter or son... life goes faster than you think.

My Best wishes and Congratulations to Alex and Kristen!

Seth and Caitlin 6.11.2010

Where do I even begin? I've been excited to shoot this wedding since I met Caitlin and Seth to do their engagement images. These two are so easy going, and so in love. I remember something very vividly about their wedding planning; when I asked about the bridal party Caitlin said, "No Bridesmaids or Groomsmen... this is just about us." This blog post is a long one... I just couldn't resist!

The Magnolia Hotel was the perfect venue for these two. The theme was simple and elegant. White roses, Damask, and a contemporary green was a perfect compliement to the scene.

Caitlin worked long and hard making these favors for everyone. Complete with green ribbon and a variety of their engagement images.

This next image is one from their "Special Moment".. when they see each other for the first time on their wedding day. Caitlin is absolutely stunning, don't you think?

LOVE LOVE these shoes... sexy AND elegant!

One of my faves.... you can just feel the passion in this one.

Magnolia is FILLED with photo opportunities...

Caitlin and Seth were so willing to try ANYTHING I wanted.... I was working on some new techniques I learned in photo school last week!

LOVED her bouquet....

Window lighting is always perfect for spur of the moment snaps...

The Hotel also has some interesting hallways... why not take advantage!?

Love the sounds of a string quartet.

A last glimpse of the bride before she walks down the stairs... A little alone time with her dad before he gives her away. My good friend and second shooter, Tanya caught these next few...

Dad peeks out the window to see if its their turn yet....

Down the stairs ...their family and friends await.

I always love the look on the couple's faces leaving the ceremony... its joy, happiness, and relief!

My Best Wishes and Congratulations to Seth and Caitlin! Enjoy your honeymoon... (and may it never end!)
